Huge concert in Air Canada centre

Yesterday was the first day to visit Air Canada Centre and also
was first day to see Dixie Chicks in live. I asked some of my
Japanese friends, but nobody agree with my plan becase they
didn't know Dixie Chicks at all.
Unfortunately Dexie Chicks isn't popular in Japan.

Air Canada centre was the biggest concert venue that
I've ever been.
When I showed the ticket to clerk after taking shakedown,
I noticed that clerk used bar code reader to distinguish tickets
My seat was justly nose-bleed section on 3rd floor as I expected.
After the orpening act I've been waiting so long. Then audience
started big waving from out to out. When I was getting bored
a little bit, every light was turned down, and finally concert started.

I've been thinking they were originally country musicians.
But their sound was little bit shifted to rock sound.
The new sound was also O.K. but I wished their sound has never
been changed.Their chorus work was still beautiful though.

Anyways I enjoyed concert♪

Labatt beer workshop

Yesteday, I went to the Labatt institute on king street to take beer workshop.
This workshop was optionaly included in the bartending class that
I took in last month.
Why I took this workshop, because it doesn't cost and I can taste free beer.

The class took up from the story of beer history to modern beer situation.
There was impressive thing for me.
That was the difference of Lager beer and Ale beer.
Instructor compared Lager and Ale with White and Red wine.
Stated quite simply, Ale(Red wine) is more aromatic and bitter
than Lager(White wine). Lager is smoother than Ale.

At the end of class, we tasted six kinds of beer. Each beer has unique
flavor such as orange peel or cherry.

Workshop was really interesting for me.Because I did't even know Guiness
before starting to study Alcohol drink.
I'm being able to enjoy drinking beer more than before.

These brands of beer are I tasted in the workshop.

Chinese dumpling

I work at a Japanese restaurant in Mississauga, north of Toronto. Two regular customers, a Chinese Canadian couple, invited me and some of my co-workers for lunch last week. It was totally unexpected.

We went to a Chinese restaurant somewhere on Finch. Actually I can't remember the exact location.
We ate a lot of Chinese food, noodles, wonton soup, dumplings, red bean drinks, etc...
I especially liked the pork dumplings because they have soup inside them. That's why the dumpling in picture below droops down. Of course inside it's very hot.

We ate in a restaurant inside a huge shopping mall owned by a Chinese Canadian. (I guess)
I felt as if I were visiting China because I've never been to China before.

Driver's licence

Last week, I got my Ontario driver's licence .
Actually, I brought my international drivers licence from Japan,
although it's valid for only 3 month. It depends on the province
But you can get an Ontario driver's licence easily without taking an exam
I t costs about $70 to get dliver's licence.
This is what I did to get my Ontario driver's licence.
First, I went to Japanese consulate on king street. There I filled
out some forms to register with.
Next, I went to the Ontario ministry of transpotation.
where I filled out an application formand paid $70.
After that, my picture was taken.
Then Iwas given temporary driver's licence which I could
use until my real licence arrive in the mail.
I finally got my licence in the mail three weeks later.
I looked at expire date on the driver's licence.
It was written it's valid for five years.
I won't be here for that long....
Anyways I'll make good use of my new driver's licence.

Amazing composer

I found treasure.
My most favorite composer Yoko Kanno is amazing.
I 'm sure she not only knows but also can make all types
of music in the world.
She almost make Japanese animation sound trucks.
But their quarity is no less wonderful than any other movie
sound tracks.
Her masterpiece's live concert is below.

My new ipod earphone

Last Wednesday my old ipod earphones finally broke.
I've been useing them with my third generation ipod for four years.
Fortunatery, the timing was perfect becauseApple
just came out with newly-designed ipod earphone.
So I went to the downtown Apple store at the Eaton center
and bought a new pair.
At first I thought that the new earphones sounded
the same as the old ones.
But...
But later I realized that the sound had obviously improved.
If you listen to jazz or classical music, you can tell
the difference between the order earphones and the new ones.
I was really impressed.
I started thinking about getting a new ipod.

Home bar

Lately I'm stadying about liqur that includes wine, beer, cocktail.
I'm into small bottle spirits. I can buy them at LCBO liqur store.
Almost them cost less than 10CA$.
Now I'm trying to memorize more than 100 of recipes and their taste.
Of couse I enjoy drinking everyday.
But It's difficult to associate cocktail name with recipe and taste.
Coktail names like "purple haze" "God father" "Kamikaze"
are very interesting.
To study spirits or cocktail name's roots is also profound.
